I recently had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Métis Crossing and take part in their Poppy-Making Workshop—an event rooted in remembrance, creativity, and community.
Not only did I photograph the experience, but I also joined in the workshop myself, creating handmade poppies alongside participants. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, filled with stories, culture and shared reflection.
Through my lens, I captured the intricate details of the beadwork, the hands that shaped each piece, and the meaningful conversations happening around the tables. Every image tells a story—of Métis tradition, remembrance, and the beauty of community connection.
This collaboration was more than just a photoshoot; it was a chance to slow down, learn, and participate in something deeply meaningful. I’m grateful to Métis Crossing for inviting me to be part of this unforgettable experience.
